Best KovaaK's Alternatives

KovaaK's is the deepest aim trainer you can buy, and for many players it's still the right one. But it's $9.99 up front, Windows only and a lot to take in. If any of that is the problem, here are the alternatives and what each trades away.

We make Online Aim Trainer, so read this as a competitor's view. Every price, player count and rating for another product below comes from a public page linked under Sources, checked on the date above.

When KovaaK's isn't the right fit

KovaaK's earns its reputation: 93% positive across 23,126 English Steam reviews, more than 31,000 scenarios, and a new all-time high of 4,508 players online at once this month. People look for an alternative for practical reasons, not because it's bad:

  • You're not on Windows. KovaaK's runs on Windows through Steam. Mac, Chromebook and Linux players, and anyone on a school or work computer, can't install it.
  • You don't want to pay before you know. There's no demo. $9.99 is cheap for what it is, but it's still money spent before you know if aim training helps you.
  • You want something guided. Tens of thousands of community scenarios are a strength for experienced players and a maze for new ones. Most people end up following an outside routine or the Voltaic benchmarks.
  • You only want a warm-up. Steam, then KovaaK's, then a playlist is a lot of steps for five minutes before ranked.

Five KovaaK's alternatives

1. Online Aim Trainer (ours): free, in the browser

Free. Optional Pro $19.99 once (lifetime) · Mac, Windows, Linux, Chromebook, phones

Better than KovaaK's at: starting fast and running anywhere. It's a browser tab: no Steam, no install, no account. It matches your sens 1:1 for Valorant, CS2, CS:GO, Apex Legends, Overwatch 2, Deadlock, Quake / Source, and each of its 8 drills (Flick, Micro Adjust, Track, Reflexshot, Headshot, Multishot, Motion Spd, Motion Prc) gets its own Iron to Radiant rank calibrated to real player data, so you can see which skill is weakest without a benchmark sheet. Everything that affects your rank is free.

You give up: KovaaK's depth. No scenario editor, no workshop, no Voltaic benchmarks. It's built for the warm-up, not the four-hour grind.

2. Aimlabs: free on PC and console

Free · Aimlabs Pro $7 to $10 a month · Windows, PS5, Xbox

Better than KovaaK's at: a free start, guidance (daily missions, adaptive tasks, structured plans) and official VALORANT content. It's the only one here on PlayStation and Xbox.

You give up: the pay-once deal. The Sensitivity Finder, game-specific programs and AI coach are a subscription that costs $84 to $120 a year. It's also Windows only on PC, so it doesn't solve the Mac problem.

3. 3D Aim Trainer: free, browser and app

Free · Browser, Windows app via SteelSeries GG

Better than KovaaK's at: price (free, paid for by SteelSeries) and structured paths for specific games, with a browser version for Macs.

You give up: the full exercise set and higher frame rates are in the desktop app, installed through SteelSeries GG; there's no public scenario editor.

4. Aiming.pro: browser with a daily workout

Free with ads · Plus+ $8.99/month or $59.88/year (US)

Better than KovaaK's at: telling you what to play today. Its AI picks a daily workout, in the browser.

You give up: on the free tier, one workout a day and ads. Plus+ costs about six times KovaaK's price every year.

5. Aimbeast: the cheaper paid app

$7.99 once · Windows (Steam)

Better than KovaaK's at: price, by two dollars, with the same pay-once model and 93% positive reviews.

You give up: the community. With about 51 players online on average, there's a fraction of the shared content, and it's Windows only too.

When to stay with KovaaK's

If you're on Windows and you want to train seriously for months, KovaaK's is hard to beat, and nothing on this page replaces it. Its benchmarks are free now (they sat behind a subscription from 2022 until April 2024), its Supporter pass is optional and cosmetic, and the Voltaic community gives you ranks and routines that thousands of players share. A sensible setup for a lot of players is both: KovaaK's for long sessions, and a browser trainer for the short warm-up before each game, when opening a desktop app is the step that gets skipped.

Whichever you use, keep the same cm/360 everywhere. Our sensitivity converter moves your sens between games, and our warm-up research shows why even two runs before you queue are worth it.

Free, and runs on a Mac

No Steam, no install. Set your sens and run a drill in the browser you're reading this in.

Questions answered

Is there a free alternative to KovaaK's?

Yes. Aimlabs is the biggest free desktop trainer (its best tools are in a paid Pro tier). Online Aim Trainer and 3D Aim Trainer are free in the browser, and Online Aim Trainer keeps every drill, rank and the leaderboard free with no ads.

Can I play KovaaK's on a Mac?

Not natively: KovaaK's is a Windows app on Steam. On a Mac, use a browser aim trainer. Online Aim Trainer, 3D Aim Trainer's web version and Aiming.pro all run in Safari or Chrome.

Is KovaaK's worth $9.99?

If you will train regularly, yes: one purchase gets the biggest scenario library, an editor and free benchmarks, and it is 93% positive on Steam. If you only want a short warm-up before games, a free browser trainer covers that without the download.

Does KovaaK's have a subscription?

Not for training. Since April 2024 benchmarks, workouts and competitions are free for every owner. The optional Supporter pass ($1.99 a month to $9.99 a year) adds a badge, name colour, region leaderboards and Discord perks.

Can I try KovaaK's for free first?

There is no demo; Steam's refund policy (under 2 hours played, within 14 days) is the closest thing. To test whether aim training helps you at all before buying anything, a free browser trainer is a quick way to find out.
